
MATTHEW J. EICKMAN focuses exclusively on employee benefits law. He has experience with plan design, legal compliance, and drafting issues for qualified retirement plans, executive compensation arrangements, and health and welfare programs. Mr. Eickman is an active member of the American Bar Association as a member of the Employee Benefits Committee of the Tax and Labor & Employment Law Sections, and as the Young Lawyer Liaison to the Tax Section’s Defined Contribution Plans Subcommittee. He frequently contributes articles to the Labor & Employment Law Employee Benefits Committee Newsletter, is a contributing editor of a chapter in Employee Benefits Law (published by the Bureau of National Affairs), and has written for the 401(k) Advisor.
Mr. Eickman received his bachelor’s degree (B.S.B.A., Highest Distinction) in Finance and Economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and his law degree (J.D., magna cum laude) from Baylor University. While in law school, Mr. Eickman served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Baylor Law Review, and was a member of the National Moot Court and National Mock Trial teams. He is currently taking time away from volunteer work as a youth basketball and baseball coach to spend time with his wife and two little boys.
